10/30 Will Go Down in First Grade History

"Lorelei did an awesome job making and bringing in bracelets for us. It really filled our buckets." Leeanna

Halloween shenanigans.

Nolyn really got into the spirit!

We had another interesting, incredible lesson with Ms. Elson.

We made some jack o lantern's!

They were quite creative!!

As a part of our Farm to School initiative, we took kernels off cobs of corn and made our own fresh, popcorn. The corn was grown at a special farm in Vermont.  Thanks so much to Cecile Leriche from Gibou Gardens in West Hardwick, Vermont!  It's such a special opportunity to work with children in this way. They're really understanding how and why eating fresh, local food is important.

It wasn't easy!  We later watched a super cool video of an old farm tool, resurrected by Ms. Leriche, that removed kernels with ease!
