Where's All The Snow!?

This time of year I always look forward to students' writing about snowy adventures in the woods, building snow sculptures that go with our solids and liquids unit, and using Doppler radar to track winter storms.  This year is a bit different, but we've been working hard on so many fun, engaging projects we've barley noticed that autumn doesn't seem to end!

Here are some pictures that highlight the last two weeks! Please share them with your first grader to see how they describe our latest investigations.

Encyclopedias are pretty fun!

 Serious research.

Solids and properties.

Planning our model city.
The final product. - town hall, police/fire/medical center, school, riverside park, library, grocery with small farm/roof garden. ...I'd live here!

Look closely!

Thank you to the amazing Shylah for making individual necklaces and bracelets for all of us!

Happy Friday. There's so much to be thankful for.
